FYRoM was recognized as RoM in haste and under false pretenses. The Greeks were shafted by the American administration of George W Bush. Academic and Political correctness were shelved in order to teach the Greeks a lesson.
In that American administration's eyes, the Greeks were seen as being mavericks, following their own political agenda and not seen to be part of the team [Nato].
The decision to recognize FYRoM as RoM was Wrong at every Academic Discipline. That [political] decision was a Mistake, a big Blunder and it shall go down in recorded history as such with the names of those responsible alongside that Political Mistake.
Macedonian's past and present have always been Greek Hellenic people.

Propaganda must not be rewarded, propaganda must be confronted then corrected wherever possible, and those found perpetrating it should be bought to justice out of respect for all the academic disciplines which place Macedonia well within the Greek Hellenic Domain.
Decent human beings are born with a good and well maintained, functioning Moral Compass, they know Right from Wrong.......so!

No Serious Accredited Scholar would deny the Greek Hellenic credentials of Alexander the Great and the Ancient Macedonians without the Risk of doing some serious damage to his / her's Academic Integrity and Credibility!

After all that work deciphering the Rosetta Stone, the west still doesn't beleive us. The middle text of the Rosetta stone is pure slavic, the language of Alexander the Great, every educated slav knows that!

Macedonian history [[ancient][modern]]is Intrinsically and Inextricably intertwined with the Greek Hellenic Collective of peoples history, denying the Greek Hellenic Identity of the ancient Macedonians becomes implausible [academically] and silly.....The base layer of that history starts with the Hellenes.....plain and simple!
What today's Greeks would dearly like to see, is that same principle applied to the current name dispute fiasco, namely that the base layer of Macedonian history starts with the Hellenes of which today's Greek Hellenic people are the sole and legal modern representatives.....the rightful recognized heir's and inheritor's of that legacy.
Today's Greeks would accept any modern European people as Greeks, provided that they learn to walk like Greeks and Talk like Greeks [Hellenize]
willingly and voluntarily....If any modern European follows the basic steps above and is accepted into the Greek Hellenic Collective, he / she becomes Greek in the modern citizenship sense.
Greeks can not accept [FYRoM] a NoN Greek people as Macedonians or Cretans or Spartans as long as they remain overtly and openly hostile towards Hellenism. Academia (The World Body of Knowledge) exist's to Certify or Reject Bold Assertions and Exotic Claims, providing they meet stringent criteria set by academic principles and recognised disciplines. There is a need for these checks and balances to be in place, to protect us from Absurd Claims and Exotic Assertions advanced by people or individuals harbouring Complexes and delusions. Academia (The World Body of Knowledge) is needed, Required for Obvious Reasons, it's Findings Must be Respected.

Personally i don't think alexander was a Yugoslav, he was a Macedonian and the ancient Macedonians were an integral important part of the ancient Hellenes. All this nonsense about Alex being slavic is just that, nonsense, rejected by the international academic community as revisionism, with no academic or scholarly merit.
