Is it a scam? How can they possibly sell $800 suits "Buy 1 Get 2 Free" ?

I've bought a lot of clothing from them over the years.

What's your question?

What's the difference between the various suits i.e. Executive, Signature, etc.

It's in the quality of the tailoring and the quality of the material/cut.

The cheaper suits they have tend to have a bit of a bias-cut to them, so they hang weird on your body.

The Executive series also has a much higher threads per inch count on their sewing. This ensures that the garment won't start coming apart. It also ensures against puckering that you see on many cheaper suits.

Is it true women can tell how much a given suit costs?

Fantastic quality at affordable prices.

There's gotta be a catch. They seem to have a sale every weekend. Is anyone dumb enough to pay full price?
.
Unregistered

Every time I go I think their stuff is overpriced.

Women pick up on the details. Like I said, puckering is a huge indicator that your suit is cheap.

And by puckering, I mean along the seam lines (and especially along the collar) it looks like the thread was too tight and it puffs up the fabric between the stitching.

That's poor quality.

And that's what they pick up.

Also, they say that 'shoes make the man'. This is really, really true.

If you're wearing an $800 suit with $50 shoes, you're going to look like a schmuck.

Buy expensive shoes. The great part is they'll NEVER need replaced.

I spent $500 at their 50%-off sale. Got cufflinks, belts, that type of shit.

It was all pretty good stuff, dead cheap.

I say bullshit, most suits today are made in China. Even the so-called expensive Italian brands are having their crap made in China now. They discretely hide it via the "Designed in Italy" bullshit the way Apple says "Designed in California".

Most women will never know the difference unless your suit is polyester and looks like crap. Beyond that as long as it fits well and its pressed you will be fine.

Besides unless you work on Wall Street or some executive branch gubamint tool who the fuck where suits anymore?

I have yet to figure out how Jos A. Bank stays in business. Who wears suits anymore. About the only time you wear them is at at funeral, wedding or interview.

I figure EVERYTHING in the store has to be made in China. The overhead of a physical store + warehouses is crazy unless you have obscene profit margins. The only way you get great profit margins is with 50 cent/hour Chinese labor.

Hey Trev,

You've obviously never been in an upscale bar/lounge.

I was in their huge Wall St store and I was THE ONLY customer most of the time.

One guy came in looking for directions. Another was a spic trying to return a half-off suit.

The suit they sell for half off ($500.00) actually costs JAB around $49.95, less than fifty bucks. So there's your answer.

I went during their $170 for first, $90 for second suit sale. Walked out with 2 suits for $350 including alterations. I was the only person in there too.

I dont think you really need a suit. A nice jacket is probably good enough in 98% of all business situations.

They're low end for quality... suits for people who only wear one for special occasions, want to look passable, and don't want to spend a lot

You're gonna like the way you look. I guarantee it.
